Posters have been showing up around Memorial University in St. John’s, criticizing “crumbling infrastructure” on campus.

And Nicolas Keough, the union’s director of external affairs, communication and research, believes the situation is not helping with enrolment.

“We’re seeing drops over and over, and we’re seeing crumbling infrastructure,” he said. “There are buckets everywhere in the tunnels.”

Keough claims there’s almost $500 million in deferred maintenance at MUN.

“It’s really not looking good right now.” he said.

MUNSU has written the premier asking for a meeting on the issue.

They’re also planning a Student Day of Action to highlight various concerns on October 2nd.
